I'm originally from the Greater Seattle area and moved from the evergreen state to the palm-tree lined streets of Los Angeles to get my Masters degree at USC.
I studied in the graduate program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, graduating with an MFA in film production with a focus on writing and editing.
With my training and experience, I focus on story and map out each beat, while finding the best places for each soundbite, line, and shot to maximize its effectiveness in supporting the story.
After graduating from USC, I worked as an assistant editor at night, while working as a full time apartment manager.
This experience of managing and keeping the organization of multiple productions running by myself at night ingrained organization permanently into my skill set, producing a meticulous nature when running any post-production office and crew.
A great video doesn't happen in a vacuum. Great ideas can come from anywhere, which is why I keep my team up to speed at each stage of the process, which is essential to create the best possible video and to continually grow and improve my skills as well.
I have edited multiple studio projects in Spanish and provided on-screen English subtitle translation, allowing clients to gain more business and keep creative control of featurettes in both languages.
